Torsten Zarges
Torsten Zarges is managing partner of Zarges|creative talent connection, a media consulting and event conception agency based in Cologne/Germany that he founded in 2004. Also, since 2013, he writes as a chief reporter for DWDL.de, Germany's leading website for television industry news.
After starting out as a local reporter at "Westfälische Rundschau" in Dortmund/Germany, Torsten studied journalism and political sciences, followed by a television and radio traineeship at public broadcaster WDR. He then worked freelance on several WDR shows and, from 1998 to 2013, as a correspondent for media trade journal "kressreport". Since 2004, Torsten is a regular jury member of Germany's most prestigious television award, "Grimme-Preis"; since 2012, he is the jury president of the German Radio Award. In 2015, he set up and curated a competition for international television and web series at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival.
