Prof. Dr. Felix Huber
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Felix Huber was born in 1964 in Stuttgart. He has been the director oft he German Centre for Aerospace (DLR) and is professor for „Raumflugbetrieb“ at the University oft he German Armed Forces in Neubiberg. Since 2012 he has been chairman oft he WTR and DLR.
After studying aerospace engineering at the University Stuttgart, where he got his Phd on the topic of anti-matter-impulse in 1994, he worked there as a scientific officer and project manager. From 2000 to 2009 he was the leader oft the transfer center aerospace oft he Steinbeisstiftung für Wirtschaftsförderung in Stuttgart.
Several research stays lead Mr. Huber to Boston - MIT, Genf, - CERN, PennState University, Moskau - ZUP and RSC Energia.
Between 1994 and 2000 Mr. Huber lectured on the topics of telecommunication, aerospace and satellites at the University Stuttgart. Ever since he is lecturing at the University of the German Armed Forces.
Between 1998 and 2009 he was the Principal Investigator fort he experiment on the ISS called „Global Transmission Services“ for clock synchronization. Between 1994 and 1998 he registered several patents on the topics of passive levitation of glass and liquids, regenerative cooling and the sending of time signals.
Mr. Huber was decorated with a number of prices, i.e. the Hermann-Reissner-Stipendium, Preis der Geheimrat-Jakog-Sigle-Salamander-Stiftung, Certificado Inst. Aeronautico e Espacio and the Brasilien und dem Ordem de Merito Aeronautico, Ministerio de Defensa.
Mr. Huber is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Luft- und Raumfahrt – Lilienthal-Oberth e.V. (DGLR).
