Dr. Marion Esch

 

Dr. Marion Esch studied media, political science and educational science at TU Berlin and got her Ph. D. at the institute for media.

 

Between 1996 and 2002 Esch has been the academic chair and between 2003 and 2005 the manager of the Europäische Aka­demie für Frauen in Politik und Wirtschaft Berlin e. V. (EAF). From 2002 she has been working as an assistant at the institute for tool maschines and factory service (IWF). In her position she worked on topics like gender Mminstreaming in the quality ma­na­­­ge­ment of technical universities. During the same time she was the academic chair of Femtec and the Femtec-Network, a one-of-a-kind Private-Public-Partnership-Initiative in Germany from leading technical companies and technical universities that wants more women to study scientific or technical topics as well as strengthens the gateway between the industry and univer­sities.

 

Between 2006 and 2007 Esch was project leader of the Euro­Wistdom-Project funded by the EU commission. It aimed to inspire experienced directors to deal with science and techno­logy in their movies to create role models for young women.

 

Between 2008 and 2013 Esch leaded the project MINTiFF at TU Berlin. This project lead to the founding of today's Foundation for STEM Entertainment-Education-Excellence – Marion Esch functions as the CEO.
